In the release Bottom up we hear electronic processing of authentic Slavic folk songs from the cult russian ethno-electronic band Volga and Angela Manukyan.The album was recorded and released by the Exotics label in 2003, and in 2010 it was re-released to Sketis Music. This is the second studio album of the band, and unlike other albums (Concert in DOM, Three Fields, Pomol and Kumushki pjut), it is considered the most dynamic and danceable.
The electronic musical basis frames Old Russian texts, turning them into dance hits. The main decoration of the project, of course, is the extraordinary voice of Angela Manukyan - penetrating, lyrical, and at the same time mystical and fascinating.
